Coral Island known locally as Koh Hae, is at a distance of around 2 nautical miles southeast of Phuket and may be accessed only if you rent a yacht in Phuket or join in on a boat trip to Coral Island. The island features two main beaches, Long Beach and Banana Beach. These beaches are both long stretches of powder-like white sand, surrounded by crystal clear waters full of colorful tropical fishes that will greet you upon your arrival. Tourists are allowed to feed the fishes with bread and take pictures of these colorful fishes although we do not encourage this. A short hike over the small hill and rocks leads to a small quiet cove with a hidden gem, a very beautiful beach. It is an excellent hideaway during the day if you want to be away from the main beaches and from the crowd. Coral Island, is a perfectly getaway destination. It’s not called Coral Island for nothing. The island is surrounded by rich vibrant coral reefs. Snorkeling around Banana Beach is exhilarating and if you go far out from the shores of Long Beach, you will also have a lot to discover as it is covered with spectacular coral reefs and marine life. You will be able to see the underwater world at its finest. These reefs and schools of fish will remind you of the beauty of nature and its life. Water activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, banana boat rides, parasailing and sea-walking are available on the island. You will never run out of things to do and views to see. The picturesque landscapes are magnificent and it will surely delight your eyes. Enjoy swimming or relax while sunbathing at the beach of one of the most beautiful tropical islands near Phuket. During day time, the island can get busy and crowded with day trippers but peace and quiet can be found at the extremities of both beaches. Both beaches feature a range of stalls and eateries ranging from simple to buffet to impressive luxury cuisine. At night this destination is beautifully calm. There are resorts, cabins, and other accommodations in the islands so you can have the chance to stay overnight and experience a serene night at the beach.
