Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park is located about 15 nautical miles to the north east of Phuket. This bay is studded with limestone formations that tower out of the sea creating a stunning spectacle of scenery. There are 42 islands in this shallow bay which also hosts beds of mangroves and around 80 species of birds that nest here. The most famous of the 42 islands here is “James Bond Island” named after the James Bond Hollywood blockbuster “Man with the Golden Gun” which was filmed at this island.
